November 2005 - Ask Kim Column
Dear Kim:
I need relationship help. I have known the man I am with since I was 14 years old (I am 24 now) and I believe I have loved him since the first time I saw him. Just a few months ago, we began an intimate relationship. I know he is in love with me, but he constantly runs away and I am left hurt and worried that I will lose him because of his fear of loving me. Should I let go or should I trust in our true love?

Dear Sera:
This is a man with whom you've shared a number of lovely past life relationships, and that's the reason you feel so connected with him. The chemistry is overwhelming, isn't it? So...I know that what I have to share is not exactly going to come as welcome news.
What you feel now is inspired from what the two of you have shared in the past. It has nothing to do with this lifetime. You need to let him go and run for the hills! Unfortunately, in this lifetime, your guy has commitment issues---which means that without some ongoing therapy, he will simply not be able to engage in a heart, mind, body, and soul relationship.
It's true that even a Mr. (or Ms.) Wonderful can occasionally act like a nincompoop---but truly good relationships don't cause you to always feel hurt and worry. As time goes by, your affection for him will continue to grow and he will consistently run the other way when the intimacy becomes too much for him. Cut your loses now before the situation becomes so painful that you wish you were never born, and you need the therapy!

Dear Kim:
I quit my job in May to become a full time real estate investor. I have taken many classes/seminars on investing so I believe I have a good foundation to begin, however, I seem to be getting nowhere. Now that the kids are back in school I am ready for my career to take off but I don't know where to begin. Any ideas on what is making me feel "stuck?" Also, two of my kids have joined a modeling agency. How do you see this turning out for them?

Dear Diane:
You've done a lot of work to prepare for the next big step! You're in exactly the right field; but I'm sensing that you haven't yet really driven around to seek out the perfect residential properties for you. Your angels can intuitively direct you to specific real estate investments and then you can begin to negotiate a sale.
You will develop a great relationship with a mortgage company and they will finance each of your "babies," which is what you're going to call your investment properties. By the way, instead of becoming a landlord, you're supposed to buy residential real estate, do some renovating, and then sell the property. You need to get out there and start the search!
In regard to the modeling, your kids are going to get bored with it and move on to another, more sustaining interest...which will be best for both of them.

Can we change destiny? I recently had a session with you in your office which was wonderful. During our session, you were sure that the man I asked about was not for me and that our relationship was over. Since then I have been praying and asking my angels to help change my destiny to be with this man. Recently he has admitted his feelings for me and has suddenly become more attentive to my needs and our relationship. Is my destiny changing, or am I still meant to be with someone else?

Every day that we wake up and draw breath, we have an opportunity to expand our existing levels of wisdom, enlightenment, and maturity...and to build better relationships. I'm very glad that your current boyfriend is making you feel more "heard." Good for him!
However, I still see that you will meet and marry another man. Trust in the fact that it is your destiny to be in a very happy relationship with another guy who isn't yet in the picture. But he is coming...so be careful of settling too early with the wrong sweetie!

I have always had a fear of flying, mostly because of crashing! I have flown a few times in my life but am always uneasy. Why do I have this fear? Is it fear from a past life?

Dear B.J.:
When I first read your question, I was sure that your fear stemmed from a past life. But it doesn't! Your angels tell me that what you're intuitively receiving isn't about the past---it's actually a premonition about the future! A plane crash is NOT something you're supposed to experience in this lifetime---it's something that you can avoid.
Margaret Mitchell, who wrote Gone With the Wind, used to always tell friends that she was afraid of being hit by a car. Of course, her friends thought she was crazy. How did she die, you ask? She was hit by a car while crossing the street. So why wasn't she more careful? We'd have to channel with her to find out!
What you're receiving is a warning to help keep you safe. Your angels are NOT telling you to avoid flying...they simply want you to avoid any flight that you really feel negative about. The negativity will be unmistakable and ongoing, like a voice inside your head that keeps screaming, "Don't get on the flight!" Even if you're suffering an anal moment, there's no way you'll miss it. If you hear that voice, you're not to get on the plane, even if you have nonrefundable tickets.
Please keep in mind that you may not get the ominous negative sensations until you're already at the airport. However, if you don't hear anything inside your head telling you not to get on the plane, it's okay to board. You'll still be scared---but you will arrive at your destination in one piece. The specific flight dates that you asked about in your letter will be perfectly safe.
