January 2009 - Ask Kim Column
Dear Kim:
I asked you a question a few years back and your answer was right on! Now, I would like your advice again. I have had a series of health challenges recently. I had an infected tooth and root canal, a sprained hip, stomach problems and ended up having gallbladder surgery. The surgery was six weeks ago and I am feeling better, but not totally like my old self. I am now having some muscular/back pain. I feel like I have lost confidence or faith, and don't have my usual "pizzazz." Do the angels have any advice for me regarding my health? Was this related to an incident last fall, with an individual that left me feeling hurt and confused? I want to be well and totally healthy again. What can I do to reclaim my power and sense of self?
Mary C, 55,
Richmond, VA
Dear Mary:
In 2008, you could have done your own medical reality TV show! Move over House—it's the Mary C. Show—where you can watch all different kinds of medical emergencies...happening to one patient! All of those health problems arose-not because of the incident with that other person—but to allow you practice with resolving two primary issues that you have now almost worked through: patience; and blooming where you are planted.
"Blooming" means that no matter what is happening in your life, you have the ability to remain balanced, centered, peaceful and joyous. This is easier in theory than in practice, and we are all a work in progress when it comes to blooming. Remember that one of your major issues is patience! It's only six weeks after major surgery and you're wondering why you're still tired?! Are you asking the universe for more health concerns to help you with patience?! 2009 can be a year of great health if you remain patient, and try to bloom as best you can. What's more, you will feel that old "pizzazz" come February, and very few people will be able to keep up with you. Just remember to bloom, baby, bloom,—with oodles of patience!

Dear Kim:
I have written before (twice) and I was really hoping my question would be picked. I truly enjoy your newsletter and reading others' questions and answers. Several years ago I met a man and fell head over heels; every time I even thought about him, I felt like a psychedelic flower explosion was going off. It felt like mercury blending when we touched. It came to an end...but we have sporadically kept in touch. I cannot get him off my mind. What business do we have, if any? Will we ever get together again or should I just give it up? Please advise!
Patti, 45,
Pittsburgh, PA
Dear Patti:
Give it up—that man has nothing to offer you long term. He came into your life to be both student and teacher for you. You were to interact for a brief period of time and then move on. The reason he inspired those remarkable feelings is because you've been married to him in many previous lifetimes. In those past lives, you were crazy about him; but, unfortunately, he was always unfaithful—which was devastating. Since those experiences with him you've grown tremendously, which means that you no longer need such hard spiritual/emotional lessons. You're fantasizing about him because no one else is in the picture that interests you.
The man you're asking about was supposed to help you put finishing touches on your soul-mate list of attributes. Speaking of soul mates...a Mr. Wonderful is coming in June/July, 2009, and you will get married and truly live happily ever after. You're going to meet him in your area in a grocery store like Wal-Mart, while shopping and getting gas for your vehicle. 2009 is going to be the happiest year you've ever experienced.

Dear Kim:
I am permanently separated from my husband, after a long and painful marriage. I am living with a daughter, but I am very scared because of my financial situation. I feel very strongly about becoming a massage therapist and volunteer my free time to a hospice. Do I trust my angels enough? Will you ask them what I need to do in order to find my future? Will I get my M.T. license?
Lourdes M., 53,
Houston, Texas
Dear Lourdes:
Of course you're scared! You're going through a lot of transition right now that's long overdue. Good for you! For the first time, you're setting professional goals—big, new ones—and trying to move forward with purpose and resolve. These are very courageous steps. Your life's work involves massage therapy...which you have already heard about from your angels. So, you're listening to them beautifully.
Yes, you will get your license. Do that NOW. Are you also aware that you have amazing healing abilities? Your angels tell me that you will use them to help sick children. Stop fretting and start to enjoy all of your blessings. After all, the hardest issues are now behind you. Stay your course...you're absolutely on the right track.

Dear Kim:
My husband and I have been married for twelve years and we don't have any children. I'm 41 years old and my husband is going to be 45 this year. Our family doctor informed us that we did not qualify for a fertility test due to my husband's illness. Are there any children for us? If there are, will they be healthy, considering our age?
Jocelyn T., 41,
Mississauga, Ontario, Canada
Dear Jocelyn:
Your angels tell me that your doctor will not change his mind. However, it is very likely that you will get pregnant with healthy twins without any fertility treatments. I am not a physician, of course, but your angels tell me that you should start taking a prenatal vitamin with folic acid. Becoming a mother is part of your destiny. The children who have chosen you as a mother were not ready to be born at an earlier date. They are finalizing their plans now to be born in 2010. I "see" you pregnant and having a caesarian birth. By the way, I gave birth to my first child at 44, and my second at 45...with no fertility help! Did you know that women over thirty-five are quickly becoming the fastest growing segment of the pregnancy market worldwide? I want to see pictures!
