February 2005 - Ask Kim Column
Dear Kim:
My question concerns the death of my sister, 46, in 2000. Did her husband have anything to do with her death?
Pam L., 49
Pasadena, Texas
Dear Pam:
My sympathies to you and your family! I'm very sorry to report that the hubby does have first hand knowledge of how, when, and why your sister made her transition. Your intuitive hunch is correct. If you are interested, I would be more than willing to speak with the detectives working the case to provide particulars that may help them with the investigation. Just have them call my office: 281-651-1599.

Dear Kim:
I am a retired Ph.D. physicist, divorced, and the father of two young men, and now a grandson. For 40 years I have thought about being a Trappist monk. Or maybe I should marry? Or should I stay single and take a vow of celibacy and continue my work in Centering Prayer, Eucharistic Minister? I own a lot on which I have long dreamed of building an energy conserving underground home. Should I pursue that?
Richard G., 69
Yarmouth Port, MA
Dear Richard:
The life of a monk would not offer the freedom you so crave to explore all of your budding interests. What would provide the greatest sense of achievement and fulfillment would be to remain with Centering Prayer; and at the same time begin to write your first book about expanding one's enlightenment.
Writing would allow you the quiet time to reflect and look inward, which is a necessity for you to maintain your well-being. In addition, you would find tremendous happiness building your underground home---what a perfect place from which to write! Finally, your angels suggest that you would feel most content remaining single and celibate.

Dear Kim:
I want to do so many things when I get older, but I don't want to be wasting my time on things that won't matter. I want to do something fun, I want to know what I am destined to be. And I would also like to know when my sister will meet the man of her dreams and marry?
Ana T., 16
Houston, Texas
Dear Ana:
You are extremely intelligent, creative, intuitive, sensitive, and beautiful as well. No wonder you're confused about which path to take---with all of those gifts, you have quite a few options! I'm proud of you that you're concerned about wasting time. It's important to try and make every moment count, isn't it?
Your angels tell me that your destiny is to become a doctor who specialized as an OBGYN. You would LOVE bringing new life into the world, and you'd find it incredibly fun and exciting because each day would be different from the day before. Every day you would have new challenges, which is very important because you get bored easily. Two good choices for school would be Baylor, or the University of Texas at Austin.
The message for your sister is to remain patient about meeting the man of her dreams. (Patience is one of her issues.) She will marry her Mr. Wonderful when she's 26. I wish you and your sister much happiness as you continue the incredible journey toward your destinies!
