Dear Kim:
My three-year-old son Mark Anthony has recently been having some behavioral problems. When will things improve, and what can I do?

Dear Holly:
Mark Anthony's behavior may be spiritually unattractive at times, but I can assure you that he is a healthy, vigorous, and very intelligent little boy. The aggressive behavior that is so upsetting to you and others will subside naturally, without medication, a short time after he turns four. After that, it will be as if a magic switch has been thrown and your son will behave in a manner that you are proud of, and that is conducive to him building good relationships with other children.
Mark's angels are also telling me that you (and other adults) get frustrated about his inability to focus. What I am hearing is that Mark can focus perfectly when he is presented with something he is interested in. If he isn't interested, nothing in this world can get him to focus. But I know a lot of grown-ups like that too, don't you?
Mark Anthony doesn't need medication (but you might!) to get through this period. Instead, he needs continual reinforcement of your rules and regulations, and zero tolerance, three minute time-outs sitting in a chair against a wall when he misbehaves. He will absolutely hate that and you'll feel like Joan Crawford, but the time-outs are necessary because they will definitely get his attention. And so you don't feel like you're always saying "NO!" and constantly chastising him, his angels recommend little gifts (small inexpensive toys, coloring books, games, goodies) when he behaves admirably. Don't think of these rewards as bribery, think of them as "incentives." And little incentives help make the going easier for all of us, don't they?

Mr. Wonderful has yet to arrive, I'm being forced out of my job, and money matters are a nightmare! Why do I seem to be off track in so many areas of my life? Is there light at the end of the tunnel?

Dear Lori:
Your life isn't off track---your patience is! Although you are a very strong, capable, bright, hard working gal, I know it seems like everything is happening all at once and you don't know how much more you can tolerate. Remember that we're never presented with more "opportunities" than we can handle, and what I suggest is that you mentally reframe what's going on and consider how your angels have moved you to the fast track.
Isn't that what you wanted? You've essentially outgrown your current life, and so it's necessary to go through all of this transition to improve things, and your angels say that you've been asking them for help with that!
Your angels are telling me the following: First, you will get licensed to open a daycare center for children with special needs---you're absolutely on the right track with that endeavor! You've wanted to open your own business anyway, so try to let go of the opposition about leaving your current job. You're being forced out? Fantastic! What a gift! The universe is trying to tell you something! It's time for your own business where you can finally start to earn the money you're worth; and, you know you'll never earn what you're worth at your current job. So go, girl, go!
Second, do you really want to begin a heart, mind, body, and soul relationship during all of this chaos, when you already have so many balls in the air? No guy wants to feel like a girl needs him to save her financially, as appealing as that may sound to you right now. That would be a disaster for the romance. Get your new professional and financial life in order, and then your guy will be in like a shot! That's where the patience comes in.
You also wanted to make some changes in your appearance, and you're doing a GREAT job losing weight. Forty-five pounds so far? Good for you! It's possible that this year, you can create a new business all your own; develop a much better financial position paying off all your existing bills; and reach your goal weight so that you'll be able to feel young and cute again.
By the time you graduate from this spiritual boot camp you're navigating, Mr. Wonderful will arrive and you'll have a great marriage to look forward to. And last but not least, the book you're writing will be published. I can assure you that most published authors are always complaining that their current creative projects are taking forever to finish...welcome to the wonderful world of writing!
Be your own coach. Keep telling yourself that you can do all of this, or the opportunities would not be presented to you. I look forward to attending one of your book signings!

Dear Richard:
I'm very happy that you wrote to me because I can provide all kinds of details! You won't have the opportunity to meet your special guy until you are forty-four because he simply won't be available until then. He presently has issues to contend with that deal with his sexuality and being true to himself, which he will successfully resolve over the next several years.
This is NOT a man you've already met. He is 6'2", has piercing blue eyes, dark blond hair; and a muscular build. He will be single when you meet him, after being married to a woman for several years. He has no children. You will meet him in Ft. Worth, in the upscale retail store that he owns and operates. He was born and raised in that part of Texas; but after the two of you meet and become a couple, you will discuss leaving Ft. Worth and moving to a place like Palm Beach, Florida, where you can live on the water.
This is going to be a lifelong, soul-mate relationship and the two of you will be very happy and content. In the meantime, your angels recommend that you do all the things that are on your to-do list, such as cleaning out drawers, cabinets, and closets, getting your administrative/bookkeeping affairs in order, taking Italian lessons, etc. Good luck to you!
