     Our January spiritual adventure begins with the first of three tasks that must be accomplished to create true happiness. Next month-read about the second task!
     Unlike a carbon footprint, you are supposed to leave behind a spiritual footprint that represents how you helped make the earthly plane a more enlightened place than the way you found it!.

The Three Tasks That Allow You to Create
True Happiness

      I've learned-from the information that I've received from guardian angels-that true happiness is indeed possible on the earthly plane, and it is achievable by accomplishing three tasks. These tasks, I believe, are the keys to creating remarkably positive
changes in your life, as well as allow you to become a fabulous spiritual mentor for your child, if you are a parent.
     First task: Developing an awareness of your life's work, the issues you need to resolve, and the specifics about your spiritual contracts with others.
     Remembering who you are and what you have journeyed to earth to do can create a huge shift in your ability to set appropriate goals and have a sense of meaningful direction. Consider how
much easier, simpler, and emotionally-rich your life could become if you knew all about your gifts, talents, and abilities; and, if you had a full understanding of what your life's work entailed. You'd be brimming with purpose, initiative, and excitement-which would ultimately lead to a wonderful sense of achievement once you accomplished the various dynamics of your spiritual blueprint.
     "How strange is the lot of us mortals!" once commented Albert Einstein, (1879-1955) winner of the Nobel Prize for Physics. "Each of us is here for a brief sojourn; for what purpose he knows
not, though he senses it." Einstein also believed, "If you want to live a happy life, tie it to a goal, not to people or things."
     Throughout our entire earthly "sojourn," we often struggle to lift the veil of spiritual amnesia that prevents us from building the happiest quality of life possible and contributing as much as we're capable to our fellow man. As a channel, I've had the privilege of guiding people-through providing messages from their angels and departed loved ones-to "remember" exactly what they've come to earth to do and the necessary steps they must take to create true, lasting happiness.
     In this regard, I've learned that to develop spiritual awareness, you can allow daily life to slowly run its course, and in the process, learn about who you are little by little; or, you can simply ask your angels about your destiny, and they can fill you in much faster! The more you develop your self-awareness, the more spiritually enlightened you will become. A channeling session that I conducted recently for a client named Pamela, who was kind enough to allow me to use the following excerpt, is a good example of how you can build a better quality of life through developing greater self-awareness:
     Kim: I see you're pregnant! Congratulations! What would you like to ask your angels, or unborn baby?
     Pamela: I want to ask about my career and what I'm going to do professionally after the baby comes. I hate the thought of going back to the office after Julia is born...but my husband and I need the extra income.
     Kim: Your angels tell me that you are not in your life's work right now.
     Pamela: What does "life's work" mean?
     Kim: Life's work refers to the kind of occupation that would make your heart and soul sing, and allow you to make a difference in other peoples' lives.
     Pamela: What I'm doing now at the office makes my heart and soul ache.
     Kim: You'd be happiest as an entrepreneur, which would allow you to make the choices of when, where, and how you work.
     Pamela: I'd love that! My current boss is driving me crazy...and I hate the long hours!
     Kim: Your angels also tell me that you do not like a long commute.
     Pamela: (laughter) That's right!
     Kim: They tell me that you'd like working from home.
     Pamela: I've always wanted to do that---I just haven't been able to figure out how! Maybe I should start a small bookkeeping business?
     Kim: Isn't that exactly the kind of work that you're trying to move away from?
     Pamela: But that's all I know how to do.
     Kim: That's all you now believe you know how to do.
     Pamela: Huh?
     Kim: Your life's work involves being creative, rather than toiling over all of the bookkeeping and accounting details that you currently handle on a daily basis. Have you ever thought of writing?
     Pamela: No---I hate writing. If you are really speaking with my daughter and angels, wouldn't they already know that?
     Kim: Your baby, Julia, says that you hate writing letters and reports.
     Pamela: That's all I do every day--and I'm sick of it!
     Kim: Your life's work involves a completely different kind of writing. Julia says that you're supposed to be writing children's books.
     Pamela: Children's books? I wouldn't have the faintest clue how to go about that!
     Kim: You can't be confident about something you haven't done yet.
     Pamela: Well...that's true.
     Kim: Julia's birth will be the catalyst for the books. You're going to name one of the characters after your daughter.
     Pamela: Writing books sounds crazy to me.
     Kim: Your books will make a big difference in the lives of children around the world. When you're recovering from Julia's birth, your angels want you to sit at the computer and begin the first book. Your destiny is to write a series of stories based upon characters that include a big group of farm animals with distinct personalities. In the first book, they're going to help an injured baby moose do his healing.
     Pamela: Oh, my gosh! I can't believe it! That's the story that keeps running through my head-like a song that won't stop playing! I've been wondering where it was coming from?
     Kim: Julia and your angels have been sharing it in order to help you get into your life's work.
     Pamela: It's really a cute story! I have recurring dreams about it. Last weekend, I almost sat down in front of my computer to write it all down...but, then, I thought that was a crazy idea.
     Kim: Then you already know what to do.
     Pamela: I do?
     Kim: Do you believe in reincarnation?
     Pamela: I think so.
     Kim: You've been an author in a number of your past lives---so there is no way that you cannot do this! Consider your past-life experience as the foundation from which you will work in
this lifetime. You'd love writing these whimsical stories! And, as an author, you'd have lots of wiggle room with your daily schedule to accommodate Julia's needs, plus you'll earn a lot more
money than you do at your current job. You won't have to kiss anyone's posterior to get time off, and you'll be making a difference in the lives of the children who read your books! How wonderful is that?
     Pamela: So channeling is this simple? It's like reorganizing---or reframing---a lot of what I already know? Like the moose story that keeps running through my head? So you're telling me that those dreams have actually happened for a reason?
     Kim: Yes! And as you practice your own channeling, the information will flow faster and seem more tangible from your unborn baby and your angels. You'll have more intuitive dreams, too.
     Pamela: This explains so much. I'd love to work from home! And, perhaps the books might help children develop faith in themselves as they learn from the animal characters that I keep
seeing in my dreams? I just have to stop being so negative and afraid when I think about money, or doing something new.
     Kim: Now you're getting the picture. You have a very important purpose on the earthly plane.
     Pamela: I just have to muster the faith that I can actually do this. The thought of it---all of it---makes me very happy and peaceful inside.
     Kim: Keep in mind that you would never have chosen a destiny that was too hard for you to accomplish.
     Pamela: My baby is suddenly kicking like crazy!
     Kim: I am hearing her say, "I'm proud of you, Mommy! Let's go have lunch!"
     Pamela: (laughter) Now I have something concrete to work toward---like a mission. I've never felt a real sense of purpose before. Just knowing that I won't have to stay in an office job forever makes my heart and soul sing!

Man in White

My wife and I rented a video from a local New Age store that had some alternative videos. We rented one by a local researcher/investigator named Marshall Barnes. The video was about the supposed "men in black" and his personal experiences related to the subject. As it was low budget, we made fun of it, and somewhat dismissed it all together. There was one sequence of video that was of a man dressed in all white, with a white fedora hat. The footage was taken in downtown Columbus, Ohio. I have to admit he looked out of place. The clothing looked authentic to the 1920's or 30's, but definitely not modern. At any rate, when we took the video back to the store (not even close to downtown), the same man in the video, in the same clothing, crossed the street in front of us as we were turning into the parking lot to return the tape. I have to admit it blew our circuits. We have never seen this man again! I have since seen Marshall Barnes and have subsequently listened more carefully to his experiences.

Channeled Question of the Month

Dear Kim: What are my guardian angel's names?

Dear Audrey:
You currently have 37 guardian angels working with you---which is a very high number! The names of the angels who provide the lion's share of your information are: Mary, James, Linus, Trevor, Juliet, and Marcus. The reason that you have so many angels assisting you right now is because you are in transition, moving to a more fulfilling chapter of your life in 2009. You should set aside at least thirty minutes a week to give them your undivided attention. Get a notebook and pen, find a quiet place, and listen to the voices inside your head. It will feel like you are talking to yourself, but you're actually dialoging with your angels. Write down what they are telling you so that you have a record of the spiritual to-do list they are providing, which is geared toward moving your life forward. The best time of day for you to speak with them---which is very individual---is early morning from 4:30am to 8:00am. Through their assistance, you can make 2009 the best year you've ever had!

How I Met My Soul Mate

   ASK FOR IT...and yield, surrender, and give in to something even greater.

     It was about a week after signing my separation agreement. Eight years of a challenging marriage had left me on high alert and I was going to do everything I knew of not to repeat the same experience. I did this to protect me from meeting anyone too soon...and get my ideas straight.
     So---if I was going to meet someone, who would I like it to be? What age? What profession? I wrote all the best scenario I could imagine: mid-50's, legal profession, articulate, financially solid, generous, someone with whom I could talk about a wide variety of topics, who liked outdoors activities, with grown children; also, someone with whom I would have a very close connection, we would be very close friends; someone with whom the synchronicity would be impressive; maybe someone from Washington, DC.
     I wrote this scenario as if I was already living it in the present. I used an "I Am" statement all along. I wrote it with all the joy and excitement that my mind could imagine. I had so much fun writing this. At 49, it was time for me to get my act together and write what I was not only worthy to get and deserving, but to write about my equal---something I had never thought about before. I realized that I had been living life---and my relationships---by default. Whatever came and seemed like a good fit, I accepted. Then, one day I woke up in a bad dream. This time I would ask for someone who was a doer, funny, responsible, with similar talents, gifts, and a strong zest about life! Not someone who needed me to fill his emotional gas tank with a pep talk every morning. I wanted someone who already had his tank full at the beginning of his day. And why not script something like that for me? What did I have to lose? I felt that I had everything to gain.
     Each day, I would read my script twice a day and do edits when necessary. This scenario was getting stronger and more powerful. I loved it. It would get me in touch with who I am. I would read it out loud with passion and feeling---just as if I was already into this relationship. I was really detached from the outcome because I was not quite ready, but I just wanted to be protected from the wrong partner.
     About three months later, someone matching exactly that description showed up, and I was scared that I wasn't really ready yet. The only difference from my script was that he was not from Washington, DC.
And, he worked in my office, which I found troubling. I was not doing too well with that and was starting to be grumpy. Sure.....he was available: he was 58 with two grown up daughters, a 15 year partner in the law firm, very witty, an outdoorsman, elegant, very articulate, and fun. He had everything, BUT....I could not see it with a successful outcome because he worked in my office. However, he was patient and persistent. He always said that he felt strongly inspired to explore a relationship with me. I was totally freaked out. I was scared for my job! I could not understand at the time that when we create our script, we do our part by writing to the Universe or God, but then the Universe or God does His part and this is when the "or even something greater" comes in.
     It took me about a year from the start of this potential relationship to drop my resistance. We dated for two years, lived together, and got married ten days ago. He is everything I wrote about in my script! I am so happy; there is no word in a dictionary to convey my experience with him. I would love for everyone in the world to experience something like this. Yes, we do have our differences, but we manage them with a similar philosophy of life, with a similar outlook on life, we both love life and harmony. It is so much easier and flowing when we get our equal. "Know Thyself" Isn't that the truth? Know Thyself and call your equal.
     When I had a session with Kim O'Neil about a month before getting married, David had not yet proposed me. When Kim looked him up, she said "Oh yes! He is your 'booboo!'"---which is my nickname for him. "You guys are getting married before the end of the year." That made me smile because I knew that I would marry David one day. Well.....lo and behold....three days after my consultation with Kim, David proposed me. I had made a point not to tell David anything about my session with her. I didn't want David to know anything about Kim until events started to unfold. He really enjoyed the recording of my session when he heard it!
     The most valuable lesson I learned from this unbelievable experience of scripting my scenario is that it is important to know who we are (our gifts, talents, what we like to do, to read, to talk about, etc....) and not to aim at less than what we are inside of us, no matter what our situation is. Most people know what they don't like or want and that is not where we need to place our attention. Energy flows where attention goes. Shoot for the stars!

   About twelve years ago, I lived with my teenage son in a two-story house which I had suspected might be haunted. One evening, I was home alone, working at the computer in the study upstairs. I heard a large glass item fall and shatter on what sounded like tile on the first floor.
     I hurried downstairs, not knowing what to expect, except for a disastrous mess. I found nothing. I called a friend who lived on the next street, and she drove over because it was dark outside. We went outside and looked all around my house and in the street beside my house. We found nothing.
     As she left, we stood in the entry hall, and she said she could feel "something" there. After she mentioned it, so could I. She went home at that point.
     The next morning, I came downstairs and noticed that one of the two large, bowl-shaped crystal light fixtures in the tiled entry hall-right above where we had stood the night before-was hanging only by its wires. I never doubted the power of angels and/or ghosts again.
